Lodging for Theotokos
As a retreat, conference, and mission outreach center for the Southeastern Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church, Hinton Rural Life Center is excited to welcome groups of Confirmands and their leaders to our campus for Theotokos Confirmation Retreats.
Lodging and meals are included with the cost for the weekend.
There are two retreat packages available for groups. Fees for the retreat program and lodging/meals are combined, so there is only one deposit payment ($50/person) and a final balance invoice. The two package options include:
- "All in One" Package:
- $200/participant includes program/supplies, t-shirt, 2 nights lodging, and 5 meals
- Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
- Sunday: Breakfast, Lunch
- $200/participant includes program/supplies, t-shirt, 2 nights lodging, and 5 meals
- “DIY Meals” Package:
- $175/participant includes program/supplies, t-shirt, and 2 nights lodging.
- This option is for groups staying in retreat houses.

Meals for Theotokos
Our dining staff, led by Patty Welsh, looks forward to serving you delicious and youth-friendly meals, with an extra helping of Hinton hospitality! Our menu for 2025 (subject to change):*
Breakfasts: Will consist of some of these options – gravy and biscuits, sausage, bacon, cheese and western omelettes, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, grits, oatmeal, yogurt -- and fruit, juice, milk, coffee, etc.
Saturday Lunch: Taco bar with chips and queso, salad bar, fruit, and cookies or brownies
Saturday Dinner: Pork roast, mac & cheese, green beans, rolls, salad bar, and cobbler with ice cream
Sunday Lunch: Chicken tenders, tater tots, corn, salad bar, fruit, and cookies or brownies
* We are happy to offer options for dietary concerns, IF we are informed in advance. Group leaders should indicate retreat participants' dietary needs on their Group Dietary Information Form.
